The camera obscura is an optical instrument that allows to obtain a flat projection of an external image on the inner zone of its surface. It was one of the ancestral devices that led to the development of photography.

An interactive space where we worked with the memory, the relation with our gestures introducing them in divers bucles. I directed this project with the collaboration of a programmer and electronic musician.

We also interacted with old photographies changing them with creative code programming with free software and using face tracking in an open workshop.

IMAGINARY ECOSYSTEM | MARCH 2015
PROJECT DEVELOPED BY ALBERTO DE ESCOCIA & MANUEL CEBRAL
http://ecosistema.imaxinaria.org/

Imagery is a system of relationships between entities and people who try to share and distribute resources and knowledge according to free licenses and licenses for use typical of the emerging Digital Culture. It stands in the territory of Galicia and the North of Portugal, although open to the world, global and local at the same time, aims to be a self-sufficient ecosystem; Exchanging productivity for generativity, marketing for social innovation and, in general, serving as a platform for exchange and knowledge management with a view to revaluing the forms of life in its nomadic singularities.

We understand that the modern city is falling apart, anchored in the paradigm of consumption, has led to our public spaces in large shopping and leisure centers, exhausted the active nature of citizenship and its initiative, as well as the self-sustainable distribution of resources as well as interactivity Of the middle Given this scenario, we do NOT ASK: how to connect to the metropolis? How to make it faster and increase its merchandise in a transnational context of capitalism? But: how to recapture the ways of life in its territory? How can you add a plus of simultaneity, incubate them in real time and connectivity that makes this territory sensible and even intelligent when it comes to generating and distributing resources and participation as well as giving access to new knowledge?

We think of the visualization of data and the theory of games to account for this ecosystem: a cyber-city based on the communes of Galicia and Northern Portugal, which connects to the nodes that register in it, sharing resources, protocols and knowledge in a system Which revalues its use against market value. A visualization that ultimately allows us to detect: what is it that needs a node to generate innovation?

herme3TIC-tv. Digital Humanities Lab

Digital humanities lab

I have presented the paper herm3TIC-tv: Prototype of a human and social sciences laboratory based on Deleuze-Guattari philosophy and the application of the new ICT at the International Conference SIGraDi 2018 treating the subject of “Technopolitics” where I proposed a prototype of a Digital Humanities Lab based on an interdisciplinary approach. The project was part of my research on an “herm3TIC” discipline, which overcome humanistic and hermeneutic difficulties when they try to face new technologies and interaction, designing a space where social sciences can reach the experimentation going further the mere documentation. This experience is also developed in a proper site http://herm3tica.tv .

Our social interactions, increasingly mediated by technology, require subjectivity singularization spaces. The philosophy of Deleuze-Guattari gives us the keys of a machinic device that can counter-actualize the generic arrangement we suffer, derived from media and technology. This space is considered as a scenic space but also scientific and analytical, developing what Deleuze-Guattari called schizoanalysis clinic but that we can also understand as the development of a proper and interdisciplinary methodology for the new laboratories of human and social sciences.

Areas of technological transvaluation through the Deleuze-Guattari philosophy

The philosophy of Deleuze and Guattari is used both to encourage the current technological and cybernetic evolution of society and to the contrary: to proclaim the need for areas and opaque layers to interconnectivity. Probably this is because technology itself is neutral: it depends on our uses and applications, the type of social formations that it gives rise to. But, if we contrast the current uses and applications, which areas would be the most critical, those in which there is more sensitively a transvaluation of the use of technologies? Four axes are proposed around which we critically decide the human and social use of technology.

Lapsus, interrupciones, balbuceos… Deleuze vs. NLP

//

Manuel Cebral

I have presented my book “Teoria da imagem” at SELIC (Santiago de Compostela Book Week) 2018. The book have been published by Axouxere Editora. The image is not something you can thing at all, rather well, is something which lets you think, like a ground or a new territory of thinking. Continuing the lines opened by Deleuze and Tiqqun, together with an innovative revision of Plato, this essay observes the place that the image occupies in the constitution of the human and the possible derivations that, above all, are born politically. The image is something we obligatorily meet in our contemporary societies and, trying to overcome situationist critics, we should find its cognitive potential.

International Conference on Artificial Intelligence and Information

I will stay at the International Conference on Artificial Intelligence and Information which will be celebrated at the Faculty of Arts, University of Porto, Porto, Portugal on December 5, 6 and 7, 2017. I present the communication “Is Big Data the new capture machine? Correlations between Data Mining and Gilles Deleuze Philosophy” which you could find here

The accelerated growth of technologies related to the Artificial Intelligence raises considerations that must be rigorously evaluated. Due to the Media attention or the huge amounts of funding, it is urgent that we begin the public debate on all the issues related to the application of Artificial Intelligence in everyday life. The impact of these technologies will be an intrinsic part of all aspects of our life: in our home, in our body, in health care, in war, etc. Thus, the relationship between machines and humans seems to be increasingly close, and it can reach to the point of extinction of the purely biological. As A.I. may be the last human invention, we should think carefully about all the scientific, political, ethical, legal, and philosophical aspects that surround it. You can check here the full program.
